God's Promises

Today's Devotional is about the promises God has made to us.
He has made so many promises, and He has never broken a single one. It's important to look back on these promises to remind ourselves of God's unchanging love and constant protection over us.
Today we will look at 2 promises God has made to us.

Promise #1-He is with us wherever we go.

Joshua 1:9 says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Isaiah 41:10a states, "Fear not, for I am with you."

Matthew 28:20b says, "And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

And finally, Psalm 46:7 tells us, "The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress."

He will not leave us. He will not abandon us. He has said so, and what He says, He will do. Take comfort in that. Take comfort in the promise that we can always go to Jesus, because He is always there and will never leave.

Promise #2-His love never fails.

Lamentations 3:22a... "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases."

Psalm 106:1 says, "Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever!"

Psalm 107:1 says almost the exact same thing! "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. For His steadfast love endures forever!"

And look at 1 Chronicles 16:34..."Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!"

It's so beautiful how many times the Bible says these words. He loves us with a perfect, unchanging, steadfast, eternal love. 

So, friend, wherever you are, whatever you are facing, whatever you are going through, rest in these two promises. Have peace in knowing that God will not break these promises. He loves you, and He will not leave you. Run to Him. Lay your burdens at His feet and trust Him to carry you through the storm.
